"Should I Believe All This Fucking Hype?"

"Did BLAIR WITCH live up to all the hype? That's still up in the air. Our group is divided. A lot of NOTC staffers definitely think it did, simply because they didn't seek out the available BLAIR WITCH resources and learn a lot about the movie's mythology and story. On the other hand, I looked up every website, soundbyte, and trailer dedicated to the Blair Witch for months beforehand. I dedicated a lot of time to digging through the official website (which is fucking pimp, by the way: www.blairwitch.com --but good luck getting through!) and I watched the "documentary" on the Sci-Fi Channel the week of its release. I've got to admit, my experience was lessened because of what I had seen. Don't make the same mistake I did. Walk into the theater with as little information as possible and you'll be a hell of a lot happier. But either way... prepare to be surprised. It's damn cool, despite the clouds of acrid shit that the Hollywood Hype Factories have expunged."

"The only real hype that I heard about the movie was from the rest of the NOTC coven, and even that was pretty sparse. I saw the trailer and it looked really spooky, but I didn't get the two fisted, delta attack of Jar-Jar media hype rammed up my ass on this flick. It lived up to and surpassed my expectations which were really non-existant."

"I really think this movie should not have been hyped, but it definitely lives up to the hype it got. I went into the theater knowing no more than I deduced from the teaser trailer I had seen and was glad I did. But that is not 100% movie specific. The more I know about a movie going into it, the less I enjoy it. I understand the production companies have to advertise their movies, but it pisses me off when they give away too much trying to sell the damn thing. But anyway. Loved the movie. Wish it wasnt' so bootlegged. Gonna go see it again ASAP."

"Yes and no!! It does create a boat load of excitement and hype, however it might not be because of its "scary" content... but rather because of its creative development and filming - along with some very realistic acting!!!"
